hello
I tried everything from these topics

when I add my server I get server no response, but after some changes I get server down

I can join my server through steam group, but not through console "connect"

http://www.canyouseeme.org/ here I tested port 27015 and it says connection refused, I used port forwarding: added my ip 213.129.138.23 and port 27015

added 4 firewall exceptions for port 27015

my server is patched, using rev-emu

game:l4d2, with plugins

probably the wrong is on my side but I cant find it out

You need to register to be able to edit messages. Posting a new reply is OK too.

It's not possible to query your server:

qstat -a2s 213.129.138.23

ADDRESS PLAYERS MAP RESPONSE TIME NAME

213.129.138.23 DOWN

You need to configure your firewall or router settings to allow connections there. Try to remove your firewall altogether to see if you get it working at all.

maybe I shut down the server, I want it run about 4-6hours a day

when I shut down the firewall, that port is still blocked

in router:

Local IP Address Protocol Port Range Comment
192.168.1.1 TCP+UDP 27015-27017 l4d2

I heard sometimes if comment has a "space" it will not forward

In router theres something

DMZ
A Demilitarized Zone is used to provide Internet services without sacrificing unauthorized access to its local private network. Typically, the DMZ host contains devices accessible to Internet traffic, such as Web (HTTP ) servers, FTP servers, SMTP (e-mail) servers and DNS servers.

Enable DMZ
DMZ Host IP Address:

but I dont know if it is good to edit it, I dont want to broke router

Try it with your friends. It's easier to test different setups fast.

No response means that the server doesn't reply anything at all. There is no confirmation whether the server is even running.

Down means that the server replies "no service".

Usually "no response" means problems with firewall. "Down" means that the game server is not responding.

Start the server with command line parameter "-ip 0.0.0.0". Then it listens to all IPs on the server. Or maybe you can write it to the configuration file too. Setti has it on the command line parameters.

its strange, if I check any port, it says timed out, if I add "some" port to portforwarding, the check says connection refused

I found that I have third ip

213.129.138.23
192.168.1.1
and 192.168.1.205
I portforwarded the last ip, the port check worked, but only one time - strange, then it random changes conn. refused/timed out

found that when I put hostip 213.129.138.114 into server.cfg

Success: I can see your service on 213.129.138.114 on port (27015)
Your ISP is not blocking port 27015

and my ip today changes, but when trying to add to setti - no response
