You didn't understand the previous posts. They are about VERSION 34 2009-08-26. After that there have been several updates to CS:S. You should update your server to get them from Steam servers. After that patch it as usual if necessary.

If this is too complicated you shouldn't be hosting a server at all. It can become complicated.

Works perfect !!!!! With esteamation the server crashes every time some one connects. When I upgraded it i couldn't use the steam_api from the updated version because server would crash upon running it. I tried revemu but now it crashes sometimes, just randomly, wtf?

Make sure you have named the steamclient_* files properly. In rev.ini it tries to load by default steamclient_valve.so and if that is not present then the server might crash when someone connects. It might also crash earlier or randomly.K I'm going to try this out. I figured out how to run a server, just no players ;(

To start fresh delete the ".steam" directory in the parent directory where you installed SRCDS. Then re-install.

Ok yeah now revemu tells me I'm already logged in,so switched to esteamation again, which worked for a while, until I wanted to restart server then everyone connecting besides me crashes the server (srcds.exe has stopped working).
In revemu it either doesn't connect to VAC and when I connected css says couldn't connect to VAC, or when I re-log into steam it says your already online. What the fuck no I'm not. These emulators either need to work perfect or not be released. Things shouldn't be half-assed.
My friend says he could connect but its not VAC-secured. Either way that doesn't matter because I can't connect.
or when restarting steam:
Which then takes me to this:

Do this:
Download the windows srcds again and overwrite. Your server should be patched to allow non steam players.
If you crash the server, make sure you are using supported version of crack.
REVOLUTiON Emulator 9.81 R4 (build: December 14 2009) works the best for clients.

I'm using latest revemu. (Don't worry I'm not using them together)
The server without mods seems to crash less often but still crashes.
Well it seems to be crashing when specific people connect. Must be something with the emulator. I edited the settings to False for all the steam3 stuff. Like my friend has dz css, and everytime he connects it crashes, but for most people it doesn't have problems.

Have you tried to delete the steamclient_SCI_cache.bin file which is in CFG folder?
I am sorry I wont be able to test for you because I don't have v34 CSS.

Ok uhm sometimes esteamation doesn't load:
esteamation sci library starting initialization... failure
I would copy everything but i cant right click.
Yeah now everytime I connect it crashes. This so annoying they need to fix this crap....
Is there any other emulator that actually works besides esteamation and revemu?

The version of eSTEAMATiON that comes patched inside the zip file works the best with the older version. (CSS v34 SRCDS)
The older version doesn't show anything on the server console but works flawlessly. It always connect to VAC secured servers successfully on startup just like the screenshot I posted few post back.
The future versions of eSTEAMATiON wont be beta tested on CSS v34 so no guarantees on that.
And no, RevEmu and eSTEAMATiON are the only working ones out there.
EDIT: I might release untouched version later
