Hey,

I just downloaded CSS & the patch v51(Cumulative). Game runs, I can play with bots(gets boring after a while), however I cannot connect to the Setti servers that are already in favorites. They show up, I can see people are playing in them, however when I attempt to connect I receive the "Server is not responding" message. I can only see these 5 servers also, not able to view any others from the internet tab in game. Will appreciate any help you guys can offer, I'm fiending for some CS bad lol.

This problem appears when you have older version of the game than the server run, you said that you have latest boobs patch installed, so the problem may is that you haven't install the patch curectly. Is there any error pop up in console when you launch the game?

The only error msg that was in my console was "ConVarRef sb_dontshow_maxplayer_warning doesn't point to an existing ConVar" which as I understand is to be  ignored anyways. It seems that I did install patch incorrectly, so I deleted all files, reextracted the main CSS, then I extracted the patch into the same folder with the hl2.exe, "place_shortcut_on_desktop", and so on . At that moment I was asked whether or not to copy or copy and replace files with same names? I had the similar files overridden with the patch files and once done I placed shortcut on desktop(Yes the new icon on desktop was different from the older one).
Now my issue is that the game will not open at all. I received the error box "unable to load manifest file 'scripts/surfaceproperties_manifest.txt'" and crash.

Starting to realize I am moron and will quite possibly be paying moron tax as it is called if I do not figure this one out lol

Nevermind, issue is solved, patch sucessfully added. Now apparently I need to figure out why my ping is 200(kicked 20-30secs after joining servers) with no anti virus or firewall up. Im plugged in directly to my router(Comcast 100mbs cable internet)  running on Windows7; AMD Athion II X2 Processor P340 2.2GHZ(dual core), ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250; 3GB DDR3 Mem. All I can say is wtf?

Try to find servers that there are near to you, check at ''css orange box'' release thread( http://css.setti.inf...x-nosteam-setti ) in FAQs '' What can I do about CS:S lags/high ping with Windows Vista/7 on low ping server?''. Also check if your router has mods, like gaming or stability mod.
