Ok hello everyone its DS over here, im a new person to this forum but i always use the serverlist because its the best!

Does anyone know where I can get a Left 4 Dead dedicated server 1.0.1.8 non steam version and be able to play lan mode for testing, i cant ****ing find any, everyone i download it fails..

please help!

Considering that most of the servers on the server list are 1.0.1.8, I'd say you'll find server patches from cs.rin.ru's Main Forum (and there "Releases" forum). Look also in the other threads for instructions how to use the tools.

Garena is the best i can find and i use so far.

Go to game's console (like css) and type 'Version' to see what you have. If you have lower than 2.0.1.6 you have to DL a patch wich is 1GB. if not just follow the patches step by step, from 2.0.1.6 to 2.0.1.7 and so on, until you get 2.0.1.8 or newer.
After that you have to DL and install 'Standalone Patch'. Every time you patch you have to DL the new Stand alone and install it.

To find servers except the ones you can find in Setti server list DL and install 'Garena' (instructions on 3.1.1 Installing Garena)

If you can't find the server or the patch with these instructions you shouldn't be hosting a server at all. Put some effort in it yourself.

Nope i want to create a server for L4d: I've been scripting for many games now and now i want to try Left 4 Dead so please help me out, Fuck.
