Hello, I'm running a counter-strike 1.6 server that fail to register at setti's list.
And I'm wondering why because I'm using dproto and as far as I know all clients are able to connect.
The IP is : first.stu-team.com:27019
If someone could tell me where it fails that would be great.
Thanks
/Cali

Great, it is in the list now
Thanks to the admin who manually added it.
Thanks, but really the thanks should go to the system. It's the cause and solution here It works in mysterious ways...
Manual adding is a bitch, so it rarely happens. Patience has been the best approach in the occasional problems

Well, you haven't done anything, that's weird, I have submitted it several times already and it never worked.
Maybe that's because I use the domain name instead of the IP so it has done the check again ?
It seems that you don't know what your tools do eheh.

Domain name or IP address are pretty much the same. It's got no effect.
The problem surfaced with the version 48 update. Until then it was clear how to verify CS1.6 servers. In the 48 update the protocol changed to similar as in HL2 based games. Nevertheless the same check doesn't always return the wanted results. There's some sort of semi-randomness how the servers reply.
Only some servers admins time to time have this same problem. In the mean time thousands of other servers admins don't have the problem. It's weird, but the problems always seem to disappear automatically.

Strange, what does the check do except trying all available clients ?
It tries two different authentication methods. Then it receives 10 different replies from the same server at different times and gets confused and then server admins talk here why their server isn't on the list.
Then eventually the server admin patches his server again and everything works.
Maybe you should contact some other server admin who has server on the list. Ask how he did it and then do exactly the same.
