http://www.mani-admi...will-close-down

Dear supporters of Mani-Admin-Plug-in,

Unfortunately, we have sad news today. We will be closing shops by the end of this month. The website will still be online until 01/01/2013. The reason for this decision was that we don't have enough manpower anymore to be dealing with the frequent updates for the source engine and all its different versions. Real life just simply does not allow for such time consuming hobby’s anymore. This was a tough decision, but from our point of view, it's better to bring it to an end now, than allowing it to continue to slowly fall apart on its own.

Sad to hear this. Mani was a great admin tool to easily setup small servers.
My recommendation: Switch to SourceMod, it's simply awesome! Thanks god that we made the transition already some time ago.. (:

The great thing about Mani was the fact, that in most cases Mani is enough for your server (plugins are built-in). You install Mani, change the config and it's done.
If you use SourceMod you need to install all the plugins on your own. That makes administration a bit more difficult and it take more time, but you have a lot more options, you can install whatever you want and in most cases you can also modifiy these plugins if you know how. There are also a lot SourceMod plugins which gives you options Mani doesn't have. If you just want to setup a server for you and your friends or only have a singe server, Mani was fine, but if you want to setup a bigger server/multiple servers, SourceMod is much better (SourceBans, SMAC, etc).

That's a lie. They are closing down because they are moving in the underground vault in Norway to survive the Doomsday!!!

The website will still be online until 01/01/2013.

Is this a sign.....that the world will survive the 21st December?!

Damn. As you said heady, Mani is very good plugin for small servers just for fun with friends.

I remember when i made my server long time ago, i was using Mani and Sourcemod. Sourcemod for good security and Mani for admin privileges. As you also said, it's very easy to use. You install it, you make some configurations and you done! About admin options, it has everything you need if you are a small server owner. Some months ago i switched to Sourcemod cause i wanted you know, something more advanced.

Anyway. R.I.P Mani.
