when i run srcds.exe for the server to start. it never does and a file called Steam_2013_02_09__11_27_14_634.mdmp got created in counter strike source folder.

how to fix it? i tried re making the server.cfg but the problem is still there

no i have no plugins installed at all

Take a look at THIS post. It seems like you are not the only one who has this problem. It is caused due to the latest update. I will try to find any solution on google and i will contact with headHUNTERZ so to see what we can do about this.

Well, it's a problem in the server files.. Download a clean copy of the server files. Follow this guide: http://www.srcds.com...l&id=1097362093

Then the server should start, but isn't cracked. To do this, download this one: http://rghost.net/43881187

Extract it and copy the content of the "server" folder into your new server folder, where srcds.exe is located, so srcds.exe and rev.ini are in the same folder. Then open steam_appid.txt and change it from 440 to 240. Should work then.

i did everything as you said. now the server starts but after some seconds it just says "srcds.exe" has stopped working. and it shuts down :/

If you want try this:

1) Update your OS.

2) Clean any registry errors with a program. (CCleaner and Registry Reviver are both very powerful for this)

3) Backup any ".cfg" files of your server folder and subfolders you wouldn't like to lose.

4) Delete your server and then go here: http://css.setti.inf...server-windows/

i use CCleaner everyday and i defraged my PC yesterday.

well i tried with your way but it keeps crashing after "Initializing blabla"

no infact i don't even have steam installed on my computer

Wtf...

How can it be possible?! We run the same server, i don't get any errors but you do! The only explanation is that something is wrong with your pc. I mean, wtf?! I'm gonna google it. I hope i find something useful.

i am taking good care of my PC. could it be an OS or hardware problem?

edit: ok after crashing again and again it eventually worked so i have a working server now. thanks for your help man

and after some restarts it started crashing again.. xD
