First, I would like to thank all of you who were involved in making this awesome thing!

 

I would like to ask for help on how to get rid of the Steam Validation Failed error I still am getting.

I did the instructions as per the first page. However, I did forget to install the update 5 and 6 the first time. Got the SVF error when I tried to connect to the server.

Then I did the patches and tried again, and I got the same thing.

 

I am not aware of doing anything differently from what was instructed. Is there something that could have slipped?

About the Steam validation rejected error, probably you didn't update the server files and RevEmu properly since you forgot to install the update patches. Something went wrong. Delete and reinstall everything so to be sure that everything is done properly.

Hi,

Got the error Windows can not find .srcds.exe.

When i change the command line to ./srcds.exe i got the same error.

When i change the comand line to /srcds.exe got a looping because server crashes.

Are you sure you installed and configured everything correctly? You shouldn't have this error. I mean, wtf? The srcds.exe file is included in the release, how can't your OS find it? O.o

Wie kann ich bei Server das Autoupdate ausschalten???

Möchte Lanserver erstellen der sich nicht von alleine updatet tut.

Ich glaube nicht, dass der Server kann die automatische Aktualisierung. Wenn Sie den Server aktualisieren möchten, müssen Sie es manuell über die SRCDS Updater-Patcher zu tun.

Ich hatte schon ein LanServer am laufen gehabt.Der lief auch super !!!

Nur hatte ich den Rechner dann am Internet dran.

Beim Start von den SRCDS Launcher hat er sich dann geupdatet ,damit ging leider die Counter.Strike.Source.SteamPipe.[Setti] nicht mehr.

 

Und weil das ganze auf ein reinen Lanserver,  läuft hätte ich gerne das Autoupdate im Dedicatedderver ausgeschaltet.

Wenn Sie die SRCDS Updater-Patcher, um die Server-Dateien, die Sie auf der Konsole geben Sie "1" und drücken Sie die Eingabetaste haben zu aktualisieren. i cant find trv.Ini but in rev.ini the RevEmu_2012 it set to false. it it something wrong with the install, since I can not find trv.lni?

Oh! So sorry, my mistake. Yeah the file i'm talking about is named rev.ini. Damn typos. 

Set the RevEmu_2012 option to True. Test it and report here if that solved the problem.

Oh yeah. Damn i'm making the Setti CSGO no-Steam release and i forgot your problem completely. I'm sorry. 

Well, i have an idea. Delete the srcds.exe file and then run the SRCDS Updater-Patcher. Update your server so the file will be redownloaded. Who knows, maybe the one your server currently have is broken or something. After you update your server don't forget to reinstall RevEmu because the files will have been changed. Finally, run your server and check if the problem remains.

How to add bots from ingame console or server console?

I am unable to add from server console.

and in the game console , the bots_add command is accepted but they are not added.

I can only add bots from GUI server.

1. How do I only do the part where it makes the server joinable for no-steam users?

2. Do I need RevEmu?

Yes you need RevEmu.

Download the latest version.

Unzip the RevEmu's archive on your desktop.
Take the "Steam.dll" file from the "server/bin" folder of RevEmu and put it in the folder of your server where the "srcds.exe" file is located.
Take the "rev.ini" file from the "server" folder of RevEmu and put it in the folder of your server where the "srcds.exe" file is located.
Rename your server's "steamclient.dll" file (in the "bin" folder of your server) to "steamclient_valve.dll".
Take the "steamclient.dll" file from the "server/bin" folder of RevEmu and put it in your server's "bin" folder.
Edit the "rev.ini" file that is in the same folder as the "srcds.exe" file. Find and edit the following lines like that:

SteamDll=.\bin\Steam.dll

ClientDLL=.\bin\steamclient_valve.dll (remove the "#" from this line)
