[color="#FF0000"]This will work for 32bit systems:
When Steam is runing ok, make backup1.reg & backup2.reg of both those Keys(with regedit.exe):
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Valve]

And make another delete.reg file for valve reg deletion with this content(with notepad.exe/ + change ext. to reg):

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Valve]

delete valve-reg(run delete.reg) before switching css versions, + when switching from nosteam to steam run backup.regs after delete.reg.

See k1ller's post above http://css.setti.inf...ndpost__p__7787 . He said that some stuff is stored in registry. I'm not 100% sure how to get rid of the settings.

About the slowness, you also don't have reverse DNS for your IP. Maybe it's the cause, but what's the solution?

Seems b00bs already covered this better

Just tell me if something is wrong. I can't hit ANYTHING and all can hit me so easily!
And every time i join server i have to type cl_interp 0 to console and from 15.2ms goes to 10.0ms but there's no difference at all.

increase your cl_interp value in steps of 0.01 until the lerp value in your net_graph stays white all the time (also in battle). maybe you should then add 0.01 additionally just to be sure... a too low cl_interp value is much worse then a too high one...

it's better 30000, than probability between 1-100000, whatever it is on his settings, and it's better to remember such round digits than 30001 :D

Just one question: is the fps_max value important, or is it like for the rates where a huge range of values make no difference?

Hello.
Tonight CSS switched to the orangebox engine.
How will you make a difference updated and outdated servers?
The outdated servers are still listed when I launch the updated CSS.
If I try to join them i get the "invalid steam key size error" message.
Don't forget to update your servers too.

Keep me informed.

Check the main page. You need to download updates to CS:S whenever Valve releases updates to it. It's quite likely that CS:S gets updates every week now so you need to keep up with the updates.

You have to connect to servers that are fully updated too. You can't join servers that are older or newer than you own version.

You can see gameversion of servers at http://css.setti.info/servers/css/

Sth found on forums.steampowered.com/ :

In Source v14/15 (CS:S Beta, TF2, DoD:S) the Valve Developer Community suggests this.
cl_interp = cl_interp_ratio / cl_updaterate
So cl_interp on a 100 tick server would be 2/100 = 0.02 though I believe most competitive configs set cl_interp_ratio to 1 (I'm not certain why) so then you'd put it at the engine's floor of 0.0152 (the console says 0.01 is the lowest but really it's 0.0152)

What value should have cl_interp_ratio ??
If 2 on tr66 we should have cl_interp=0.03
If 1 cl_interp=0.015
QuiQ
