Hello All,

 

Today I will update the server again but I noticed that I can't even connect to other servers which used to work earlier, it says the server is running a more recent version.

 

I downloaded the setup from settii only? what's the procedure to update?

If i understood well, what you want is to update your CS:S right?

ok so here is what i did.

 

renamed current SRCDS folder to something else.

Ran the SteamCMD and installed the server again. Copied all my sourcemod and metamod file folders from previous folder cause it was just an overwrite earlier as well.

 

Ran the present that you had sent me, for update, i selected option 1 to update and then selected option 2 to patch.

now about to test the server..

Just fixed everything again, hope it works.. but need someone to test it from steam / no steam client.

So the game that i have installed that i downloaded from here doesn't work anymore. i cant even connect to my own server, the error says, the server you are trying to connect is running more recent version of the game.

 

 

Guys.... what's the catch? how do we update the game ?

Just an update, all issues were resolved. The server is now consistent..

Didn't you have installed the update patches for the game? Good to hear that everything is ok now.

Despite the fact that i have ~225 ping, the server is working perfect with our CS:S release.

yeah today had some traffic, max was around 8 player at a time. but yeah being a new server its doing good. nobody reported lags or ping issues.. for indian players it was between 30 to 60 most of the times.
