I use a non-steam CSS version. These servers that show this error are non-steam servers that worked before,
I didn't make any changes to my CSS, not in the map or in the game - not anywhere. I guess I can find a link to
an updated, newer non-steam CSS-version but I don't wanna re-download and re-install it all because I don't want to "waste" that much time, does anybody know if there's another way to fix this problem? When I downloaded the game about a year ago I fixed the server-list to the SETTI master servers so all of them worked. Now when I
"find servers", most of them show the "Your version doesn't match"-error while some of them don't, but the ones who show me the error are non-steam too (lots of them I found from this page).
Which version is the newest (from 2010)? I found a link with version 34, should I download that? Or should I download a version from the page? The version I got is from DigitalZone, I think it could be from 2005 (yeah long time..) And the "AutoUpdator" doesn't work..
Any solutions?

yeah.... I know that man... I'm just wondering which update is the newest one? So I don't downloadYou have to find update somewhere.
one and then it says "Your version doesn't match the servers" again and I have to download another newer version. Is v34 the newest one? Or can I download a version from this page, and in that case where? What update??

You are probably running version 1.0.0.34 of CS:S. If you look on the far right column of all servers listed on css.setti, you'll find that the version is listed. When you try to enter version 1.0.0.40 servers, you get that message. What you'll have to do is update to that version. There is a torrent on pirate bay or modonova and just type in 1.0.0.40. From here you will have to download that version of the game. Good luck.

with patches: http://http//cl.ly/1TeF (v4231 -> v4248) and http://http//cl.ly/1TeF (customise your name; without this patch you can't modify player name in game). Enjoy!
