i downloaded the orange box version right from the setti page and every game i join says that i cant join because im using a newer version and theyre using the older version

That is all OK. You need to play on updated servers. That's what an update means.

There are still lots of not updated servers (v34). The current new version is v45. Check server game versions here: http://css.setti.info/servers/css/

Does anybody know how can I update to CS:S version 1.0.0.40??From where can I download it???

1.0.0.40 is outdated, latest is 1.0.0.46

Check Setti main page for torrent download link. Then you need to download the latest patch (currently Patch 5).

Do not try to update your old CS:S - download completely new release and patches for it.

Man i don't understand...I have a CS:S Setti Orange Box, and i download a new patch v5 on css.setti site...And when i whant to connect on a settis servers he say :
"This server is running an older version...". On 5.8.2010 I could play on setti's servers ,and today on 6.8.2010 i can't play what is that.???
Is there a new update or what.???

There was an update and now the servers are updated. You need to update too. Uhhuh... how can people be that stupid?
