I can't undestand what's going on. How can i install the game (our release), then the v13 update patch, run the game and connect to our server successfully without any issue. I am using Windows 7 x64.

 

Did you download the game from us? Or from another community?

thank you very much for your quick reply. :)

 

I've downloaded the CS:Source release from here and also the v13 patch.

 

Every other game works without any issues (e.g. I've downloaded Day of Defeat: Source here from a forum thread and it also works flawlessly).

 

Do I have to install a specific third party software in advance to get this CS:Source release running (e.g. Steam)?

I don't think so. The game is supposed to run without Steam.

 

Try the following.

Install the game, then the update patch v8 and after that, the v13 one.

Let me know if it worked.

I've uninstalled/deleted everything and installed again. Afterwards I've installed the patch v8 and then the v13 patch.

Unfortunately still the same behaviour :(

 

Maybe there's a problem with the rev.ini or the revloader.exe?

I googled it a bit and there were some others who had that problem as well.

One of them had to install the updates of his operating system in order to fix the issue.

 

Make sure your operating system and graphics card driver are up-to-date and try again.

If that will not work either, i will try to find some other solution.

I have all the recent updates for the OS installed (auto update, but also checked it manually).

For my graphics card R7 260X I am using the recent drivers from the AMD website.

Oh AMD... I was at a friend today. He couldn't run Steam CS:GO while he was able to run it in the past. He was getting error. Maybe it's similar. Try the following solution that worked for him. Maybe it will work for you too.
 
Run cmd as administrator.
Type "sfc /scannow" and hit enter.
Wait till it's done and then reboot.

I've tried sfc /scannow (in an admin CMD shell) and after it's finished it says:

"Der Windows-Ressourcenschutz hat keine Integritätsverletzungen gefunden."

 

So this means something like: no issues found - everything is ok

 

Very strange :(

 

I've also tried it with the upgrade to the fresh Windows 10 Fall Creators Update - still the same behaviour.

This is getting really weired.

Go to the first page of this thread and open the FAQ.

Check the third one and try those solutions. Let me know if any worked for you.

I really appreciate your help.

 

I've checked if there is a gamestate.txt or a stats.bin but they are missing (maybe because I've never started this game before).

So I've tried to start the game without internet (pulled the cable from the LAN adapter).

 

Unfortunately I have the same issues :(

 

But I have noticed two things:

If I try to start the game through the shortcut on the desktop nothing happens but in the taskmanager appears the hl2.exe and revloader.exe.

They stay there for some time and then they disappear again.

 

I've also tried to start it with the -dxlevel 80 parameter.

 

After that I tried to start it this way:

"C:\Setti\Counter-Strike Source\hl2.exe" -game cstrike -steam -console -novid

 

It works but when I create a game/server it aborts with (sv_lan 0 is set):
CD Key authentication invalid for internet servers.

You should always start the game via the desktop shortcut like you did. And as administrator. But honestly i can't reproduce this issue and find a solution for it. I don't know what else to think. :s

 

EDIT:

Try one more thing. Edit the launch options, add the following and launch the game.

-w 800 -h 600 -windowed

Tested it and unfortunately I had no luck with that :(

 

I think it must be a problem with the rev emu because they game runs, if I start it without the revloader :(

MSVCR100.dll is missing and is causing revloader.exe to show an error. Any fix for that?
