Thank you boobs, it runs good now. I solved the problem. I updated Realtek HD Audio drivers from their website.
Win Update sucks, win 7 sucks. I will install Linux soon... ;)

Decompile steamclient.dll and then you can edit it, there are adresses of masterservers! :D That's how new revemu works!


What software do you use for decompilation? Do you get the original source code by decompiling?

I've got Visual Studio. Can I decompile with that?

I don't. I just pointed where he can find ip of masterserver. Better word should be - disassemble.

Do you know if disassembler is required for the masterserver .dll patching?

NOTE: Everybody who doesn't have a clue, you don't have to use hex editor or disassembler to install setti masterserver. Just download almost any release from internet or follow instructions at http://css.setti.inf...r-instructions/

I did'nt try. IDA Pro should work.

Hex editing should work too in this case!

so there is new update..? servers say I am running an older version which usually means update but havent found one.

New Patch_v10[9.to.10](2010-08-25 (1.0.0.49)) released, check first post. Tested on new v49 servers - everything ok!

someone help me plzz i was playing a game im counter strike zombie mode i quit and go in back it says running older version and i checked here i download the patch and install and go to that server again why i join the server it says steam validation rejected

Server needs to update too. Whenever updates come you need to wait for server admins to do updates as well.

i got another question when i join a server sometimes it always say invalid steam key size and i look in first post it say they running in old version v34
how to do that i want to v34
cuz most of server i join i have high ping or it says invalid steam key size

i can only join 1 server right now its zombie mode the france server that doesnt kick me its not laggy at all even if i have 400 latency only fps lag sometimes XD

Patch 6-to-7 (1.0.0.47, 2010-08-16)
Patch 7-to-8 (1.0.0.48)
Patch 8-to-9 (1.0.0.48, 2010-08-19)
Patch 9-to-10 (1.0.0.49, 2010-08-25)

to make v.49 run (if we assume that we didnt patch it before and download torrent for the first time)?

I am using Counter.Strike.Source.2010.Orange.Box.NoSteam.[Setti] and I suddenly started getting the error "You are in insecure mode. You must restart before you can connect to secure servers.". I didn't change anything, it just stopped working. I do have original STEAM CSS installed also though. I was told that it is causing the problem but I edited the registry as explained in one of the previous posts and it didn't help. STEAM CSS works fine but I would rather use the standalone version. I have been using the standalone CSS and STEAM in parallel all the time with the ols CSS game and never had any problems.

I have just installed patch 9-to-10 and still have the same problem.

Does anyone have any other tips ?
