first of all, im sorry if this is not a right section for this topic.. I just need a help, the css steampipe was succesfully installed in my distro and without a patch the games version is 1.0.075, right? ive tried to install the latest patch v8 the game opens via wine [windows emulator]  but the problem is i cant play in offline either online because it needs to connect to steam beta, i know in a description it needs to run as admin to avoid problem but i cant do it in my distro which is ubuntu gnome under linux & without a patch v8 i can play the game in offline not again in online also the find servers doesnt seems to work , the achievements then i cant view cause  it needs again to connect to steam beta.

 

does anybody can help me out with this, i wanna try to play the game in online even in lan server with or without a patch

If Heady can't find any solution about wine, the only thing i can recommend you is to download and install our previous release (OrangeBox) and its two update patches. That version doesn't require the user to run the game as admin. I'm not sure if there are any online servers for that version though.

You can try LumaEmu or some other emulator. If they don't work, either install Windows in dualboot or buy the game in Steam, that works under Linux & OS X.

I'm not sure buddy. I don't know if the file structure of the game you downloaded from there, matches with the one of the patches. But if i remember well, what our old patches were doing was extract and overwrite. So if you install the patches and the file structures are different, you will not get any error but maybe your game will be messed up. But try it and if something like that happens, reinstall the game. Otherwise it should work.

Our new patches are more secure and better. Users will get an error and the installation process will be canceled if the file structures are different.

Did you install the first patch before the second one? And you installed the patch on the release you downloaded from http://www.apunkagam...nload-full.html right?
