Just start the game and click "Play online".

There are servers with 6 players and beside this i like to play to a specific server where i will learn the players and stuff.

The idea in Alien Swarm is more like in Left 4 Dead where you play with your friends or pick a random game. If you have 3 (Steam) friends then one of you hosts the game and the rest join it. Idea of playing on some single server is so '00s.

and don't forget, my generation is '90s

Playing to a server from a player have many lag issues and it's not stable.
