Let's wait and see. Maybe Russians start to read the header on the Russian forum and realize that posting plz add messages here is useless.

Somehow I believe Russians have their own forums filled with instructions saying "You need to post to Setti forum to get your server listed".

[Sun Oct 10 05:33:35 2010]: Server 69.162.109.181:27015 added to Setti masterserver

Then my server isn't actually added, any ideas? I'm adding it as OrangeBox, as that's what it is.

I've tried at least Four times now on different days, still has yet to be added >.<

Hmm.. is this Zombie Escape game Orange Box or CS1.6 variant?

The problem is that the "appid" for the game is 0, which means the server should use HL1 protocol. However, as seen in your post, we can see that the server accepts Orange Box protocol. It shouldn't be that way because the appid is 0.

Have you done something nifty with dproto or something?

Counter-Strike: Source on the OrangeBox. I had this issue in the past, I'm starting to think it's eSteamation messing with something. All I did was change the gamedescription using the SDKHooks extension for SourceMod, that's why it's saying the game is Zombie Escape.

The SRCDS server is fully functional (legitmiate and cracked clients can join playing the latest OrangeBox CS:S). Is there any chance the appid check could be bypassed and it goes with whatever game the user enters upon submission?

No, unless your install is by the book how Zombie Escape servers are generally installed. Is it? Changing the game description with SDKHooks doesn't sound normal.

This is not reliable enough. It's not possible.

It's a good thing if you can figure out what's wrong because there are probably other server admins too with the same problem. It might have something to do with Zombie mod, SDKHooks, eSteamation... so hopefully you'll figure out what's wrong with it.

Doesn't appear to be an issue server side, using GameQ it's saying my 'steamappid' is 240. Assuming 240 is correct for CS:S.

That remained constant with eSteamation on and off. Any ideas? >.<

EDIT2: Not sure how old this is, but: http://www.gnu-darwi...11/info/a2s.txt

AppID short Steam Application number (currently always set to 0)

Seems about right >.<

Good work

Do you know if there are any CS1.6 Zombie Escape servers? There was one in the server database, but it doesn't always count.. there's lots of weird stuff there :artist: The cs1.6 server had appid = 0, which caused your server to be recognized as the same type

I think your server is down now. Otherwise it would be listed by now.

Updated and cracked with RevEmu as eSteamation broke with the last update (which emulator/patch do the Setti servers use?). I've also changed the Game Description to the same as my ZombieMod server with the minor text adjustment. Hopefully this should prevent any future conflicts between Game Descriptions and AppIDs, not only for myself, but for others.

To the best of my knowledge, there is an AMXModX plugin for CS1.6 called Zombie Plague. The possibility is there for both CS:S and CS1.6 to have *Zombie Escape* servers. However, with this being said, I've never heard of one for CS1.6.

Hopefully the server is listed by the morning (provided it doesn't crash, which is rare). ;)

It's there.

Setti uses its own detection system.

What's the difference between emu and nsd? emu is not stand=alone? nsd is dedicated? Right?

Hello at me a problem at server addition.
In general an unknown error.

Ask at Russian forum (Русский форум). Describe what server you are trying to set up. What mods you have. What configs you are using. What patches you have. What browser you have. Etc, etc. Post in your native language.

PS. Why have you censored your server's IP address? Servers are meant to be public. That's what you are trying to do when you submit servers at Setti!

What's the difference between emu and nsd? emu is not stand=alone? nsd is dedicated? Right?

Historically there have been different methods to check whether a server is patched or not. Emu historically means "Steam emulation" and NSD maybe "Non-Steam dedicated". Nowadays it's not 100% certain what patches accept what protocol.

It is enough to get "Server <your server here> added to Setti masterserver" once. Then it's shown on the masterserver. You don't need verification for other protocols.

There are some historical reasons. There used to be steamemu and "extracted" versions. They had different user authentication method so they could be separated. There's not real difference if you get your server accepted by either way. Both test successful is the best.
