Hi prpa
I tried the program and it worked, changed the clan tag but now I can't revert it or change it to a new tag

sorry, bad error description.

1. Go to "bin" folder and delete "steamclient.dll" file.
2. run ClanTagChanger.exe to restore "steamclient.dll" from backup.

Wont work... it jus says: Wrong steamclient.dll version!!!
plz help !

probably u trying to use app on non setti release of CS:S.

I love it... I did use that Hex Editor program that I saw on another forum. OMG that sucked..
Is there a way to remove the revolution crew on the menu so you can add like a description to it, because I seen the revolution crew in steamclient.dll with hex editor maybe a way to change it just like you did the tag.

Autohotkeys is a great program, but I don't think this program is done with it. I don't know what programming language prpa has used though.

There is a way, but I don't see the point doing that. Besides that, the revolution crew string is used for checking a clan tag offset.

You probably restored old backup after you patched the game. Always restore original not modded file before game patching.

FIX:
- go to bin folder and delete "steamclient.dll" and "steamclient_backupOriginal.dll" if exist. Next go to bottom of the main post and download "steamclient_nologging_04122010.rar" (file from b00bs setti css release)
- extract archive in bin folder.

Im having a problem, its telling me ""wrong steamclient.dll version"" any solutions to this problem? and im using the setti release, can someone even post the default steamcilent or something.

That's why this "changing" feature is disabled now in latest revemu

EDIT: olly shows me that clan tag string is generated on run time, so the solution is beyond the reach of the "n00beesh" AHK.

I have to admit that I'm not some kind of über bad ass hax0r but in my opinion the real solution would be making a hl2.exe process injector and hook that function (in steamclient module) which generates clan tag string on run time.
But I think bir3yk's message about extending his work was clear enough, so for me it's a little bit moral issue "destroying" his work which he's doing for all of us, FOR FREE. That doesn't mean that I'm not gonna try to do it(sry bir3yk, it's in my nature ). It just mean that in case of success I'm not gonna release it to the public.

How to:

• Extract archive to CS:S game folder, in my case "C:\Program Files\Counter Strike Source 2010"

• run ClanTagChanger.exe, enter clan name and click apply.

• close ClanTagChanger.exe

• run game, go to OPTIONS->Multiplayer->Advanced and select clan tag in Clan Tag drop down list.

• have fun.
