L4D2 - Server: Linux: This doesnt work anyway! Setti says: steam validation rejected!

Has anyone tried the Linux patch with L4D1 version 1.0.2.7.? I can''t get it to work at all. Anyone that tries to connect gets a "STEAM Validation Rejected" message.

I was able to get the Windows version running, but not Linux. Some friends and I are renting some Linux servers and no one can connect.

Anyone have better luck with the Linux patch?

why the goddame linux patch aint working? als omy bro the 5rh survivor he is hosting 2 servers but he get steam validation rejected ,even if he did the patching all how it says in instructions still rejection that sucks > anyone wona help?

Whats wrong with the setti. I try add my CSS server from a long time ago. The procedure never not success. The setti error message:

q1lla you should really try a different crack, since your server is up, connectable, and cracked, i don't see any other problem. just try a diff rev-emu http://forum.rev-crew.info/

I have bought VPS (Ubuntu 12.10 x32 Desktop) from DigitalOcean recently..

 

I want to run Non-Steam CS1.6 server in that.. I have already downloaded cstrike through hldsupdatetool

 

But I am unable to patch it, the server doesn't starts..

Is there a crack for the original Half Life? I have Steam version and it has new content that no cracked version online has and I want to patch it.
