hello all members , i got a problem , i just downoald the counter strike source orange and extract it and put the folder in c:/programs and downoald the patch 0.40 and put it also in the same folder and i install it but when i run hl2.exe it showes this error
"Setup file `gameinfo.txt´ dosn´t exist in subdirectory ´hl2´.Check your -game parameter or VCONFIG setting .

I have tried to make desktop shortcut with "place_shortcut_on_desktop.exe" and run game through shortcut from desktop!

but it showes the same error .

Can anyone help me ?

drag from game folder on your desktop a shortcut of hl2.exe
then open shortcut properties and shortcut/target should look like this "E:.....\hl2.exe" -game cstrike -console
