Hello, I used your download to attempt to play CS:S for the first time. After downloading, extracting, and placing the icon, when I open it, it tells me "Frequency out of range." This is an error from my monitor. I have been googling and looking into this, and all I can find is ways to fix it through steam. The game won't even start for me so these options are not helpful.

It's possible that the game is trying to start with some incompatible resolution. Try to add -w 1024 as the start parameter. Right click on the icon and see properties.

You can find all command line parameters at http://developer.val...line_parameters. You might also want to try -window startup parameter which will open the game in a windowed mode instead of fullscreen.

Thank you, I fixed by editing the bat to say "-w 800" at the end.
