hi, sorry to make a first post looking for help, but i have tried searching all arround and didnt get any final conclusion.
I'm trying to set up a non steam server of counter strike source for me and some friends into a vps,we are not "hardcore gamers" and we know vps is not the best option, but for us does the job.
The fact is i have followed some tutorials on how to install a cs:s server and now i noticed that actually set up a non-steam server is more difficult. Even though, i want to try and i would really appreciate if the community can help me
Now i have a full steam server running, it was downloaded yesterday so i think (from what i can read here: http://css.setti.inf...1375-srcds-v34/ ) that i have to "downgrade". I have already downloaded the srcds v34 for ubuntu from there but i have no idea what i'm suppost to do with it (i think all i have to do is to re-writte the tar files and restart the server, but im still not sure if that will do all the work :/). For the client i think you have a pretty nice torrent arround here and me and my friends will get the client for windows from there, but still i have no idea how to set up the server to accept that client, any help here?
Havent find any tutorial here on how to do that, so if you know any wich i can use, you can give me the link and then kick my ass that dirrection and i'll be grateful
