Why do you post this in the Psychostats thread?! GO4CSS server doesn't lag, I've played there several lag-free sessions.

what's the difference where i post? it's a mess here anyways , and what r u trying to fool with that non sense no lag bullshit , try to join pub 3 or main server and u'll see. Since ur making "a few" extra bob from that boost , why don't u rent another server to avoid those lag problems instead of hiding money under the mattress.

Don't just whine about the lag. It's much easier to solve the problems if you can tell how the lag appears and when it appears. When I've played on GO4CSS server there hasn't been any lag. On Pub # servers there is sometimes lag but it's not constant and it's not even that severe at all times. When the servers were hosted at server4you (many years ago) the lag was sometimes caused by network problems. Trying to solve problems with stupid ways is stupid. That is why it's better that you report about the lag better. That way it's possible to try something to fix the lag.

This far we've tested closing some of the servers and reducing amount of players on server. When solution for lagging is found then something is done.

i have been playing a lot on the rus server cause its usually the less crowded and up to 8x8 i dont feel much lag. if i change to a 12x12 (1, 3, 4, go) it lags.

Thanks. All the servers are prioritized so they run only on one core of the server processors. It is strange that RUS wouldn't lag and other servers would. One option is that RUS server is less crowded and that is why there isn't as much lag. In my opinion there isn't too much lag on any server - although there is noticeable lag.

What does it matter what's the cause? Is that the cause or is it not? What are you going to do about it?

If you don't play, of course you don't experience the lag like we do (refering to you not knowing about AWP cycle fix, anybody who doesn't know yet, hasn't been playing to me). Just right now, the lag at pub#2 was so fucking bad, I couldn't even switch weapons properly. Picking flash happens 3 seconds after pressing key, writing something appears also a lot later, when running, it ports you and (your enemies) forth and back. It was even more laggy than usually - with only 3-4 players per team (guess why).

It's not the client's job to figure out what's wrong with the product, but your's as the provider of the service. Sure you can ask for help, but not working thoroughly on a problem most players "whine about" because you don't have the problem yourself, unless it is reported in the way you need it, isn't going to solve anything. These lags persist for months now, I understand that it can be difficult to fix them, but it seems like there isn't much done about it. If the issue isn't resolved anytime soon, Setti will lose even more regulars than it already has ... including me!

Allow yourself to visit the links below and select "Player amount history" to "Year" and you will notice a linear decline in players over time.
Obviously it has many reasons, some is that kids these days (newfags) prefer to play fancier games or that gameplay on Setti Main essentially is sitting in a corner with an awp whoring the rank.
However the amount of servers served by MasterServer has grown like a fungus on a hobos feet, ie exponentially. Thats where the money is coming from that nifty boost thingy.

It's the same as people complaining about facebook changing shit every other day, but you are not forced to use it, its fucking free.

Ok report: Today i was playing at de_dust2 only server
Out of a sudden, there was just unbearable lag. It lasted as long as i was playing untill it was getting frustrating and left. (How unbearable? It took me about 15 seconds to throw a flash over the double doors in middle because my guy was not able to take it into his damn hands, it kept switching back to my main weapon. Also there were teleporters everywhere, i felt like in the movie "Jumper")

I was looking into my menu and refreshed the server list, in which none of settis servers appeared. After 5 minutes there was this disconnecting countdown and I left (Red numbers on top right corner counting how long it takes you untill you get disconnected).

agreed: Servers DO lag quite a lot actually.
Could be a bad plugin or something like that but as ive said before it really looks like the network might be the problem.. it lags for "no reason" .. the lag looks like the one ive got on my old server some time ago.. and that was due to the network. in that case a lvl3 router had to be replaced lol ..just a hint. it could be the same issue here.
