Hahahahaha, what an idiot. I LOLed at the post though. I was an admin on Setti for 7 years (since 2006). Setti was always popular, when I played or when I didn't play (I took 3 month pause every year). Setti wasn't dying for 7 years. It started dying 1 year ago, after it was changed from a 1-server to a 7-server setup, and ultimately after Ghost and k1ller lost interest and pursued other things in their lives. Transfer of Setti project responsibilities didn't go as smooth as it should have, so everything pretty much deteriorated.

 

Gringo13 was just a regular CSS playing noob who didn't know what was really happening. The only thing he knew was me slaying him when he was a bad boy. So of course I am the big bad figure as far as he is concerned.

 

By the way, Bruss servers also lost their main server administrator recently. He left the project and their community is suffering bad now. Servers are shit, admins are idiots and they don't give a shit about cheaters or troublemakers. I don't see a bright future for them either. Everything comes to an end eventually.

Z4_killer the best way to learn from your "mistake" is to get punished for it. You cheated and you lost the ability to play on Setti servers. You will not be unbanned. This is the only way you will learn to have greater respect for other players and other servers you play on. Today even cracked servers have good anti-cheat plugins and contstant admins on-line so when you learn that for 5 minutes of cheating you can get permbanned, you will realize that it is not worth it.

Just don't get carried away with banning for every bullshit you can think of. There are plenty of servers where they ban for the worst reasons immaginable. Setti was never like that. Ban for cheating and teamkilling, nothing else. This goes especially for you limited admins.

It's because there are too many servers. I don't even know how many Setti servers we have but I would say 3 would be absolute maximum for one game. Two would be even better. I am also fed up with D2 only but everything else is dead/empty. I tend to go play other maps on other servers but other servers are full of idiots and idiot admins so you can't have a good game there. Did anyone try to resurrect the main server yet ?

mellekoko, I am perfectly happy to rush with players who know how to play. You're obviously not one of them. I often also rush in vain and die for nothing so after that I camp, like 90% of players 90% of the time. But like I said, I only ban them if at least 5 or 6 of us decide to start teamworking and try to make something of the usually boring rounds. You should also know by now that I will not touch an admin, be it k1ller or Mamut or B.U.G or whoever else. That's obvious, idiot, and it doesn't have anything to do with asslicking. I don't differentiate between players. I will treat you "regular" idiot the same way I treat a random noob that just connected to the server for the first time. It goes the same for you. If you fuck up at the wrong time (when we as a team are trying to work together) I will kick/ban you from the game as well. Something tells me that already happened, otherwise you woundn't be here whining. Haha. Noob.

Then again, that's just me. You may have a better time playing (camping & fucking around) while some other admin is on-line instead of me. Good for you then.

You are of course entitled to your own opinion. I however don't care about it since I consider you a noob. Likewise, you are free to open your own server and admin it as you see fit.

Pub #3 has nowdays become the main Setti server most regulars play on. That spot was previously held by server #1 which is sadly now mostly empty. Noobs were never tolerated on the "main" server. If you don't know why you got banned then that means that you're a noob who isn't smart enough to understand. So this is the reason (= you are a NOOB). You can join one of the other 6 Setti servers.

Some reasons I can ban you for (besides cheating):

BLOCKING
If I AWP through double-doors (long A) and you come with your autosniper and stand right next to me then I can't move/hide and I can be killed by the enemy. I will ban you for such a stupid noobish block. If you don't have the common sense then you should go play on another server until you get some more sense.

CAMPING
If we rush and sacrifice our lives to plant the bomb and you camp and don't help us, then you are useless and can be banned. We don't need campers. I will not always ban campers but if we spam chat with messages like RUSH A and it is obvious we are trying to play as a team then you should play with us. Of course noobs mostly don't realize what's going on and they are the ones who end up banned without any clue what just happened. Obviously explaining things and reasons to them is a waste of time and that's why I ignore their posts. They will grow more brain cells in time and understand it all eventually.

FUCKING THE BOMB
If we say "BOMB IS AT B" or "RUSH B" then obviously the bomber must rush to B with us and plant bomb. If 10 players rush to B and secure the bombsite and the bomber goes to A and dies there, it means we basically lost the round. Such a stupid bomber can be banned. Especially when we are trying to have a teamworking game. There is nothing more frustrating than you killing 5 enemies and clearing a bombsite and the bomber is on the other side of the map camping. Idiots can play on other servers.

TK-ing
This is absolutely deadly. I permban people for that, I really do! If I slay you and you then TK me next round, you basically permban yourself right there. Nothing more to add. Save youself a lot of trouble and don't do it! Not to me, not to anyone else!

LATE SLAY
I may (if I am pissed off enough) ban you if you slay me in the next round. If I TK you and you want to slay me, slay me immediately. Do NOT slay in next round. That would mean you don't give a shit about the flow of the game and all you care about is destroying someone's game. For that you will get banned. Until now I only did that when idiots late-slayed me but I will start banning anyone who late-slays anyone else. The only exception is if the TKer killed you intentionally. Then you can slay him in next round. That should discourage him to do it again. If admin is online, report the troublemaker.

Remember this: If you don't know why you are banned, it means you are a noob and are too stupid to understand. Just connect to another server and don't write anything on the forum. You can also download the demo and spectate yourself and maybe you will see/understand what you did wrong.

Why does the amount of limited admins bother you? Does your self worth drop, as more people are allowed to ban (even if for only 2 hours)? Do lurking quiet admins like Mithrandir, HUNTER, Al1, et al bring the game and/or forum quality down or maybe its your and other reckless admins' despotism that drives people away and real cause are not the cheaters?

You are a funny one Perplexer or Mirko if you prefer, does hypocrisy bother you? No? Why do you ban skilled players instead of cheaters? You think so low of yourself, that you can't handle banter from a random keyboard warrior?

P.S: I wanna apply for adminz plx, I don't play often, but when I do I fucking love banning everyone.

There's plenty of admins but you say there is none. You know what's funny ? A LOT of players come here to this forum and beg for limited admin rights and say how much they play on Setti every day for 25 hours and how they can do a lot to help and ban cheaters and they find friends who then vote for them here on forum. And the full Setti admins (not me!) who manage limited admins give them the limited admin rights and the end result is ? .... Same shit as before. No admins. Why ? Because in reality they DON'T play a lot like they say. So we have tons of limited admins but no admins on the server. If I was in charge of limited admin list I would delete 90% of these useless kids and delete & close all admin request topics. Vast majority of limited admins don't deserve or don't know how / why / when to use their admin commands. So the bottom line is: there's tons of admins on Setti, but not the right ones. And adding a 100 more the same way as they were added until now won't make any difference. No matter how many more admins are added, things will be the same, and you will always say there are no admins. This is why, in my opinion, adding limited admins should stop.

The other problem are the updates. Nice b00bs seems to be MIA and his release thread is getting neglected. How things will move on from here and how the server is gonna get updated is something Ghost will have to say.

Lag doesn't seem too much of a problem for me so it may be your internet connection and/or the fact that you are just too far away from the server. There's not much you can do about that. My ping on Setti is 37 and with this ping I have no lag and I can play more or less normally. If your ping is 60 or more then I guess more lags will be normal for you and if that's unplayable, just find some other server closer to you.

And if you have any proof of a regular cheating, make a report. Otherwise STFU.
