same for me, new patch still makes me hl2.exe crash, except it usually happens earlier now (on main menu or while loading into server)

i'm haviing a problem where my css keeps crashing during gameplay randomly (hl2.exe stops responding), usually less than 1 minute after connecting to a server. is there any way to prevent this?
it's never happened before, is the only solution reinstalling?
EDIT: After reinstalling, i still get crashes randomly after joining a server. i have never had this problem before and have not installed anything new, why would this be happening?

I get problem, "You are running insecure mode. Please restart and run secure mode" i cant seem to fix the problem.
you have delete the current css shortcut u had before the patch. once u installed the patch, run the place_shortcut_on_desktop.exe, you will get another shortcut.
use this shortcut to run css. alternatively u can just use the new .bat file.
old shortcuts will cause errors though
when i ran from my old shortcut i had that problem too

ok seriously...this is fucking ridiculous, can an admin even respond to my post its been OVER 1 MONTH on a mistake ban, can an admin SAY WHY IM NOT BEING UNBANNED or UNBAN me??

Aprox time: got banned in setti 2 at time of this post, got banned in RUSetti yesterday
i just exited the spawn after buying my weapon and got banned.
i wasnt blocking or hacking or anything i just got banned for no reason and i didnt even shoot a shot
idk why i got banned?
yesterday this happened in RUSetti when i was last person alive and going towards bombsite.
idk whats up?
RUSetti im still banned in so im assuming its a perm ban
and idk what the duration of the Setti 2 ban is.
im justing getting randomly banned by Sculder

i get a missing map error when i try to download a new map from a server
i could download maps fine from a server before, but now i just get a missing map error and the download aborts and returns to main screen

can u put back the function where u can sort by game version?
its annoying to have to look at all the other game versions when then only 1.0.0.58 will work with the Setti CSS.

no i dont think u can, i have the same graphics card as u and im not able the render the textures cuz of some gay vertex compression update. your "DELL E157FP @ 1024x768" might make a difference tho
