Reintroduction

07 October 2015 - 02:02 PM

Yo

Hello everyone. Just came back after a long hiatus
Everything was stinking. Like an old man's flatus

Tried to ignored it at first, but it kept stinking like hell
So I decided to ring the a-larm bell

I was gentle at the beginning, moving with slow pace
Tried to give you a heads up and clean up this dirty place

But you kept ignoring me like a hypnotized puppet
What's wrong with you man? Stop hiding in the closet

Reinforcements came after, just a bundle of sticks
That only gave me laughter, they were five not even six

They want to flame, but they aint got no fire
They want to drive by, but they have a flat tire

Attacking me from every direction
You had my curiosity, but now my..

Attention!

-Sir. Yessir!

-At ease, soldier. The war is over.

- woohoo!

- It's all in your head son. Posttraumatic stress disorder.

Oh shit...

I've escaped from the mad house sliding on the bannister
I will burn your sorry asses and keep the ashes in a canister

If I were on Game of Thrones, I would be Jaime Lannister
Killing the Mad King and fucking my hot sister.

Winter is cumming. Wise up you retards!
Don't you get the message? Ohhh it's too late now...

Ringing the alarm bell (for the 2nd time)

23 September 2015 - 12:36 AM

There's an inconsistency on the admin setup that needs to be fixed. Let's cut to the chase...

1. How can a good limited(?) admin ban for 6 hours a player for wallhack, and then he doesn't come to the forums to make a permban request?

Misformed about the procedure or he simply doesn't give a shit?

2. The logic now is inappropriate language>WH?

I'm asking this because I found a day long ban for "inappropriate language".

Unless it was indeed a quite serious incident of verbal abuse (which should've also been reported in forums for further "treatment")  I can only see nothing but admin abuse.

---

I could talk about this in private message with Snipy, but it will be like plotting behind other people's back.

So, Snipy, I know what you did you did it with good intentions to help Setti, but in this case you've made a wrong choice. The admin you've appointed completely lacks of respect and knowledge about admin basic stuff and there is sufficient evidence to prove it.

I don't want to push it any further (for now), but I will be forced to if this inconsistency continues bugging the servers.

There's still time to revert this mistake.

p.s How can a limited admin hand a 24hr ban?

multi 1v1 arena server

I play 1v1 on a Greek server and it's fun (but there's a lot of mic spamming) and it's 24/7 full. Plus, it improves your skill of holding angles, and you are kind of forced not to spray that much because you will be pretty much dead.

And there are a lot of great maps.

You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention

15 September 2015 - 02:26 PM

It seems that the status quo on Setti has changed and I failed to noticed this as I was inactive for about a year or so.

So, I kindly ask you to update me on a couple of questions I have.

1.Who's in charge of Setti?

I'm asking this because a certain clique of newcomers have a cocky attitude, and I think this is derived from the fact they may be in good terms with some of the admins making them falsely think they are entitled to mouth off on any other admin without facing the consequences.

2.What's the process of becoming a CS Admin?

All these years I've been here I knew that in order to become an admin you have to prove you can catch the cheaters (one tangible way is the ban requests section), and to have a decent amount of time on servers knowing how things roll here and getting some background info about Setti. Then you have to make an admin request.

Like we all did. Like I did, even though I know those who run now Setti for a long time, and we have spent a lot of time together, we had a talk and we decided that I have to make an admin request so there is a transparency of the whole process.

Now all I see is a completely random admin (no admin request was found) with 9 posts in which half of them are a petty attemtp of acting the internet white knight against another admin. With only several months of presence I can only imagine what's going to happen if he eventually gets to be a regular.

And this leads to my last question

3.Under what circumstances a random person with 0(zero) admin requests has managed to get admin rights?

I can only understand this decision if it was made directly from the owners of setti. Anything else is shady and it contraddicts to the vision we had to start something new and clean.

Enlighten me, please.

Setti is Popular Again!!1!
