I feel the need to present you Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance! In my opinion the best RTS.

It was published 2006, developed by THQ and GPG, and has amazing graphics. The strategic factor is incredibly high, and the AI is known as one of the best.

There are 4 different fractions, UEF, Cybran, Aion and Seraphim, which send out Commanders (you) to fight about the mass and energy on planets.

It has epic battles, cool units and everything what a strategy game needs. There is also SUpreme COmmander 2, but SupCom 2 was a total flop, and GPG went bankrupt(lol).
