This topic is about how to setup a config file and some launch options for your CS:GO, which will boost your fps a bit and will make your CS:GO sync with our servers better.
Part #1 - Config
Go here: ..\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg\
Create a file named autoexec.cfg (if it's missing) and open it with notepad.
Then copy the above code, paste it in the file and save it.
// _Set net settings_rate 80000
cl_cmdrate 64
cl_updaterate 64
cl_interp_ratio 2
cl_interp 0
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_predict 1
cl_predictweapons 1
// _Set graphics settings_
r_dynamic 0
r_drawtracers_firstperson 0
cl_disablehtmlmotd 1
cl_disablefreezecam 1
cl_forcepreload 1
r_eyegloss 0
r_eyemove 0
fps_max 999
fps_max_menu 999
Part #2 - Launch Options
For Steam players:
In the "Library" tab of your Steam client, right click on CS:GO and select "Properties".
A window will show up. In the "General" tab click the "Set launch options" button.
Another window will show up. In the text box paste the following commands that you will copy from below:
-novid -freq X -nod3d9ex +exec autoexec -high -threads X
Note: Replace the "X" from the second and sixth command in order to use them. Those commands are a bit explained somewhere below.
For non-Steam players:
Right click on the desktop shortcut of your CS:GO and select "Properties".
Click on the blue colored highlighted text box and go to the end of it.
Hit space once and then paste the commands you will copy from below:
-novid -freq X -nod3d9ex +exec autoexec -high -threads X
Note: Replace the "X" from the second and sixth command in order to use them. Those commands are a bit explained somewhere below.
-freq X: Where X type the Hz of your monitor. If you don't know how many Hz your monitor provides, google your monitor so you find its specifications or just don't add the command.
-threads X: Where X type the number of your CPU's threads. If you don't know how many threads your CPU has, google your CPU or use an software like Speccy or just don't add the command.
Extra!
For pings under 50 use cl_interp_ratio 1.
Set all game video settings low unless your PC can handle it.
If your PC/internet connection can handle it you can use the 128 tick rate settings instead. Our CS:GO servers are set to accept both 64 and 128 tick rate settings.
rate 128000
cl_cmdrate 128
cl_updaterate 128
