Yes, they update after a while, meanwhile u can play on almost any server u want

for some reason i updated from 38-39 and it was fine but when i ran 39-40 it said it cant find the files needed

I needed to get from v37 to v38 but when I put the installer in the hl2.exe folder it said the files are not found! Then I tried to install from v36 to v37 it said I already have the files! I don't know what to do. Help please

Just reextract the setti release and install patch 0-40v but copy maps to save time downloading to play on servers you like.

why are you updating(v.64) first pub2 and now pub3 if the problem comes with the steam validation???
or did you already solved the problem?

I have the same problem, my patch 36->37 is saying " v36 couldent be located on your system bla bla bla"

Is there a way to get it work withour reinstalling?

Hey b00bs, when i join one of the hellz.fr servers, after a while my cs:s just shuts down.. But it never shuts down on any other servers... My brother has also downloaded this, newest patch and everything, but for him it does not shut down, ive tried all the things you said in FAQ Please help

EDIT: I forgot to say that i have reinstalled it twice, no change though

You need to install the first patch after extracting the css folder ! then install the patch... !
