What is wrong with my computer then ? My brother has exact same computer, so cant be no hardware problems? Ive updated Graphics driver, turned off McAfee, I dont really know of anything else i can do.. :/

Probably problem is with some software incompatibility or game settings. Uninstall McAfee, delete CS:S, reinstall CS:S, add "mat_queue_mode 0" setting to "autoexec.cfg" file.
You can try Directx 8 mode:
write "-dxlevel 80" in CS:S shortcut(left mouse click on shortcut and then go to properties), example:
"I:\Counter Strike Source 2010\hl2.exe" -game cstrike -console -dxlevel 80

So i cannot have any Antivirus ? Btw my brother has the same McAfee.. no problems for him :/
I tried that Directx 8 mode thing, didnt work, now it just goes into fullscreen mode when i start, then when i join the server it crashes, like when im joining the server.. :/

sorry my bad english , im from argentina.
i have a problem, to patch v38 , v39 , v40, previous patches work's perfectly.

my problem is this: i use Pacsteam, and Steam account with, CS:S orange box i press shift+tab ingame , and it's work perfectly, but, v38 v39 and v40 , i cant. play with steam

EDIT: im sorry again, im try to run with steam, and run perfectly (with .bat), i press shift+tab and work fine. but , i try to join anyserver and i cant.

Can someone help me. I have a problem with game on win7 64. After 2-5 min of gaming I got a message "error hl2.exe". This problem appear with the 37 update and lately. Read faq, cant find answer. Helllp

Probebbly, when you pacht to v37 and v38, v39 the game stops to work.

Can any one help?

I have deletted the stats.bin and the gamestate.
My Computer is a very strong game PC
I dont have an Anti-Virus program

I am now playing only 1.0.0.61 Serverlists.

Try this:
First -delete folder addons from cstrike
Second - open regedit go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and delete folder Valve .
Third - play the game.
Let me know if is working

I have deleted the Addons Folder.
And i have delete the Valve folder at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\

Its still not working.

If you want me to try something else, then let me know :)

Patch_v36[0.to.36](1.0.0.64)

in v36 work fine, but the link to download it doesn't exist

. im sorry buddy, but, i run .bat, and are not linked (steam with cs:s),
previosly messages (i say work, im wrong, im forget update xD)

great upload dude, but,when I connect the game server everything is fine, but when I choose my team Game closes
Any idea?

Heey in general a great job with css :thumbup:
but I have a problem to patch 36 everything was ok but since I installed the patches from 37 to 40 I can not change the nick in the game which is quite ... annoying. Not interested in css'em only from the inside I like to play, and as I did not try to change it is not I a purposeful treatment? Can somehow change it?

Help!! Since v37 it crashes at start with no error message, even doing a fresh install and patching v0 -> v40 :(

What can I do?

PS: no FAQ for this issue....
