this works, thanx. everything was reseted, controlls, video, etc.. but for some reasons i don't know why the controls after i bind them to my custom liking are shown to default. i didn't try more servers, i tried just 1 cause i didn't had time, but at least i won't be forced to play only on setti servers, not that i don't like it but sometimes it's overpopulated and sometimes there isn't any player in game. so happy play to who want to play.

...forget to say that for some reasons the sound is a bit too low, don't know why, "must be some compatibilities issues" but the rest is good.

Is this true? Is this for Non-Steam?

patch works and the game plays again, but its updated to newer version and cant get in the setti servers , so pretty pointless for me since they are where i play

if you play only on setti servers then i would recommend reinstall the game and apply the Patch v51, in this way you can play setti servers again "and even a few of other servers" cause setti didn't updated their servers to higher than Patch v51.

tried all the solutions ive seen on here and still couldnt get the game to open on either pc or laptop so in the end i had to apply that patch

if theres a new patch comes out that solves it im happy to reinstall the game and try a new patch to get back on the setti servers

do try this: close you Internet Connection, open Counter Strike Source, open you Internet Connection, then play. it crashed for me too, don't know why, "maybe there was a sort of a wrong collision with Internet while opening the game" but doing this method the game didn't crash anymore. also check the first page more carefully cause people have different configurations on their PC's "Computers", " and different Programs installed also" so not all the solutions work cause the problem can be anywhere.

i have a question for you guys, maybe someone knows: i can't activate "Hitboxes" option. i know you need to type in console first sv_cheats 1 then sv_showhitboxes 2 but after i do this things it just says "Unknown command: sv_showhitboxes 2". this thing happens from forever now, hitboxes never worked for me. and don't know how to fix the hitboxes thing, cause i get killed while moving in cover and this is annoying.

is this the same one like from page 237 you posted? or another one. i found a NON-Steam server that says steam validation rejected, so i think this is not fixed completely.
