I have problem with steam validation rejected too... Help please, I cant play:-(

headHUNTERZ tested the game on four different pcs. I have tested it on Windows Ultimate 64 bit and Windows Starter 32 bit. No crashes or errors. There are also people who got nothing of these too.

 

One question to all of you who get "Steam validation rejected." error. What's the file size of the installer?

The file size is 1.86 GB. headHUNTERZ did some modifications on the release a few days ago and he reuploaded it. But! Non need to redownload it again. I'm sure he can tell you what you have to change in the game folder.

Try to reinstall it. Run the installer as admin. Guys you shouldn't have errors or crashes. lol

Everyone who downloaded the 1.86 gb release via one-click-hoster, can help by seeding the torrent without redownload it. How? Here are the steps:

 

1. Put the "Counter.Strike.Source.SteamPipe.[Setti].exe" file in your uTorrent's download folder.

2. Download the torrent file from the first page of this topic and run it with uTorrent.

3. It will check the "Counter.Strike.Source.SteamPipe.[Setti].exe" file and then it will start seeding immediately.

 

Keep seeding for as much as you can.

i downloaded the new version of CSS, but at the installing procedure it says me that i have a newer driver (sth with c++) installed so the version from the game cannot be installed, and therefore the whole installation is cancelled. but why should i install an older version of this driver? How can i fix this?

i dont think so. the game seems to be installed, but when this error pops up it says that installation could not be completed. afterwards back in the CSS installation window it says installation completed..(?)  but starting hl2.exe it pops up:

 

Setup file 'gameinfo.txt' doesn't exist on subdirectory 'hl2'. Check your -game parameter or VCONFIG setting.

 

no matter if running normal or as administrator. so some error ocurred during installation... does sb know how to fix this?
