how can i add tag to that group in settings which include the (Setti) tag !... i mean is there a way to add more tags ?

 

Go here: "..\Counter-Strike Source"

Open the rev.ini file with notepad and find the following lines:

 

#Add rename ClanTag maximum 12 symbol UTF-8 or 24 symbol ANSI

#ex. ClanTag = revcrev

# 

ClanTag=

 

What you want is the red part. After the "=" type whatever you want.

After you are finished, save the file and run your CS:S. Go to the multiplayer options and set your clantag.

i do that and its worked but the clan tag and my name is to close together which mean no space between them  !! ican i make space ? 

 

Probably your clan tag or your nickname is too big. I don't have solution for this. :/

I read over FAQ to see how to change icon (Scoreboard picture thingamajig) 

So it's under the folder /platform/ in the file avatar.dat

But I seem to be missing the avatar file 

 

Seeing that it was just a PNG file, I got a 64x64 PNG image, renamed it to avatar.dat and threw it in the folder (GENIUS!)

But it didn't work

I'm having some trouble changing my name in the latest version of CS:S. I've tried changing it via the rev.ini file, but to no success. Anyone know a fix, or what I'm doing wrong.

 

Run the game, open the console with the "~" key and type "setname YOUR NAME".

you can play on non steam version of steam servers?

Server owners download the servers from Steam and make them non-steam then. So yes, you can play on every non-steam server, they are all non-steam versions of steam servers. If that was what you wanted to know.

It might also be necessary to enable avatars in the rev.ini file. Check that too before you become desperate because it doesn't work hehe
