Successfully downloaded and installed da working v6 patch recently uploaded via utorrent..

had no problems in running da game or connecting to servers..

game is running smooth and is fully functional ..

Thanx 2 da moderators 4 der instant help

 

My only problem now lies wid da ping..

been kicked of many servers due to excessive ping..

Any ideas/tweaks to overcome high/excessive ping??
any help or suggestion is appreciated..

When you join a server, do you have anything else running that uses internet? E.g. the torrent client, or anything else?

Certainly not..
Im not running anything else den my game..
Nt even those programs which do/don't use internet..
Even on setti servers my ping lies b/w 125-150

That's weird. Setti servers are located in Germany. What's your location?

I have a silly question, how i donwload patch V6? I click that link then where i go? please help

 

It's not a silly question.

1. Go to the first page of this topic.

2. Let's say you will download the patch from the Mediafire hoster. Click on the "Mediafire" button.

3. Wait for 5 seconds and then click the "SKIP AD" button at top right. After you do that, the actual download page will show up.

4. Where it says "Your Answer", type the words you will see above. Then click where it says "AUTHORIZE DOWNLOAD".

5. If you typed the words correctly, the browser will reload the page and then click the big green button that says "DOWNLOAD (124.22 MB)". Then wait until the downloading is completed.

Uhmmm...

Can u guys help me with this problem... I tried sharing the program from my other computers but after trying it, it says "The server requires that you be running Steam." but i tried running it in administrator but still it says that it requires to run by steam... 

I tried redownloading it but again it says "The server requires that you be running Steam." i followed all in the instruction but i still always like that...

But here at the server its ok and running fine but on the other computer are not...

Try this, maybe it will work:

1. Right click on the shortcut of the game and click on "Properties".

2. Go to the "compatibility" tab and check the checkbox that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:".

3. Select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" from the list below and finally click on the buttons "Apply" and "OK".

4. Try to run the game.

hey i just got a quick question but can you guys help me? i got a very old counter strike and i am trying to patch it so i can join games so right now i patched it to v78 umh what is next? because if i download that patch is says that some vpk files are not the same in the database please help me i really want to play right now.

 

I don't know what Counter-Strike you downloaded, installed and from where. If you want the latest version of Counter-Strike: Source, download and install the game and its update patch v6 from the first page of this topic.

cos when i change language in rev.ini only the text is changing to german

Short answer: Yes.

 

Long answer: It's possible to get german radio sounds, but you have to get the sound files. They are not included in this release. I'll just fire up my laptop and check if it's easy to get them from Steam. Shouldn't be too hard, but it depends on how Valve packs them with the new SteamPipe release.
