Hello,
I have problems adding Setti masterserver to my CS:S standalone.
The Install instructions says I have to Copy MasterServers.vdf
to *Standalone: C:\games\Counter-Strike Source\platform\config\MasterServers.vdf
and if masterserver2.vdf is in the same directory then I should overwrite it too.
But there is no MasterServers.vdf or Masterserver2.vdf I can overwrite.
What shall I do ?

There should be by default the file. It's not mandatory though. You can try saving the file as instructed and see if it works.

Chances are that you are looking for them in the wrong directory too.

k1ller I have a few questions, maybe you can clean up my mess.
I make a clean fresh extract of CS:S and start it and open the serverbrowser.
Now there should only be normal servers from steam/valve masterserver because
I haven´t added Setti masterserver yet. Why does the serverbrowser show me these
4 Setti servers + lot of cracked servers which are listed on setti ?
--->http://www.abload.de/img/settizesz.png
When It´s not Setti masterserver giving me these Ip´s then why should
steam/valve masterserver show me these servers ?
Also I don´t see these servers on my legit client...

Back to what you wrote, there is none by default only
"ingamedialogconfig.vdf" and "serverbrowser.vdf"
I´m pretty sure that I´m looking in the right folder(?).
Because of the problem mentioned above I don´t see any
difference when I put MasterServers.vdf into the folder.
Don´t cracked servers look the same in the serverbrowser
like normal servers ? So how can I see that there are
more cracked servers than before and see setti masterserver is working ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry for so many questions, I´m just so confused and need some clarification.

You already have Setti masterserver installed. Many releases on the internet have it built-in. You don't have to do anything.

Reason why you only see Setti servers is that other server admins haven't yet updated their servers. When there are updates to CS:S you have to update and server admins have to update. CS:S is only compatible with same client<->server version. That is the reason why there seems to be so few CS:S server now.

k1ller I´m not using a release from the internet,
this happens with clean fresh self extracted CS:S out of Gcf files downloaded from Steam.
Or do you mean that Steam releases their games with Setti build in ?xD
Also I knew client and server need to have same version but this wasn´t the question(s).sery

I got my answer,
it´s Revemu, because Revemu automaticly connects to Setti masterserver. So there is no need to install it.
Maybe you should mention it under install instruction that it´s not necessary for Revemu users.

If you have installed Setti masterserver to Steam, then all games launched from Steam have Setti masterserver by default.

Are you using normal Steam or have you downloaded Steam from somewhere else?

Edit: Ah, thanks. I wasn't aware rev has enabled Setti by default. Quite nice
