My Gmod server is always shown offline. I see this error in the console and I am 90% sure that the error happens whenever setti tries to check my server. Here is a nice console copy pasta for you to look at.
Connection to Steam servers successful.

Any help?

P.S. The server is 100% up to date using HLDSUpdatetool and is confirmed joinable by all players using the latest version of Gmod.

ALSO: heres the pagee for my server, which btw is running:
http://css.setti.inf...110.6.220:27016

You can join it and you will see that it is running but the page says its down and it doesn't show up on the "other" section.

Steven is joining from 192.168.x.x. It's LAN IP. Make sure you've got your port forwardings set properly. You have to have ports forwarded from your ADSL to the server.

PS. Usually hosting on a home computer doesn't work. Ping for other players is big and the server is probably down or very high ping when you are surfing web or downloading True.Blood.S03E10.720p.HDTV.x264-IMMERSE.torrent etc

See this is why I included all the info. So we wouldn't have to go through this. Yes I have done everything right, I know because my friends can join, random people have joined, I know how demanding home hosting is and I know what I'm doing. I connect using the LAN ip because it's convenient for me. My friends play on my server and I have tried to add it to setti but it just doesn't cooperate.

Setti's server scanner joins from IP 188.40.40.201. Those connections are probably from Valve's masterservers.

Also note that Setti's masterserver ignores all heartbeat messages from servers. That is, you need to submit your server through the form at the bottom of the mainpage. Using "setmaster <setti's IP address here>" does not work.

PS. Last chapter is not completely true. For the past 5 years it hasn't worked. But there are about 5000 servers all the time online that send heartbeat signals to Setti's IP although they are ignored. People in release groups have added the "setmaster command" in many releases and when people make home servers they send heartbeat automatically to Setti. That is stupid because Setti has ignored them always. Now because that stupidity has been so wide spread it might be reasonable to add "setmaster" functionality in Setti Masterserver's services too. But that is irrelevant to your post.

Do what Ghost said and ask your friends to test help the server. When your friends can join the server Setti's server scanner can join it too.

Have you patched your server? Try another patch? rEV emu and Vityan's patcher are popular.

Okay i feel like we are going over things that are not the problem.
The server has a setti page, doesn't that mean that its been added? I added it in the past, and the page's ip is the same as my ip.
The server has been patched already, by "REVOLUTiON Patcher"/rev_patch.exe
I just tested and my friend can connect from outside my LAN.

It was hard for me to find a patcher, I was unaware of the other engine patchers. I'll try that soon.

The stats page might mean that your server has once passed the scanner test. But now it shows illegal pie plot in the server signature which usually means that your server has been down or rejected for a longer time.

Make sure you set rEV to accept all clients.

There is the rev.ini. By default it should accept all clients so I don't know what you are doing wrong but most likely something

I don't see any rev.ini. I just dragged engine.dll onto rev_patcher.exe and it patched the engine. Also, If you look at the server page, I tried resubmitting and the server page shows the server coming online for about a minute then it goes back to saying the server isn't running.

There is a 10 minute gap whenever server replies something but the reply isn't what is expected. Try to locate rev.ini and re-read the install instructions.

There were no install instructions, it was very self explanatory. It even showed the usage (rev_patcher.exe <filename>) I used it, it showed a patching window, no options, it began immediately and it finished shortly without any instructions and options. It works and my friend who uses cracked steam can join, some random people using steam emulators and some standalone users have also been in.

P.S. There is no such rev.ini file. I searched and nothing showed.

It's impossible to reach your server via ping. Are you sure you don't have any firewall or antivirus to block connections?

Too late. I shut down the server. Too much trouble if I have to hand out my ip or advertise my ip on youtube or something or the other just to get people in.

P.S. My server worked fine, as I have said multiple times my friends and me have played online through the forwarded ports, I don't use a firewall and my av doesn't block my programs. It was a fresh install and there was no logical explanation for the problem on my end. I guess you don't have to solve my problem anymore.

There are 10000 servers on the list. Yours doesn't work. Maybe you should consider solving the problem by yourself. Shutting down the server is always an option. Especially when it's been online for what, 7 days? :smile-thumbs-up:

AS I SAID: It worked fine. If people from outside my ip join and play, then its not a problem with my server. Its the logical explanation.

Also, i would appreciate it if you didn't act like me or my server are worth dirt.

You seem to act as if there was something wrong in Setti's server scanner or something like that. It's possible but there are 10000 servers on the list and your doesn't work. I'd start looking for the problem at your end.
