This is all statistics. So wouldn't it be easier to do stats about how much negative/positive score each member gets per hour on these forums? All actions obviously are logged and stored in a database. So it'd possible to check who gives negative points to whom. Then we'd have similar "diss" and "up" stats as Psychostats are now - "kill" and "death".

The idea which I'm thinking is that each week we could ban these idiots who a) use most negative votes and b) get most negative votes.

Initially we could start this just by banning most of the idiots who a) have used most negative votes and b) have most negative votes. After that it'd be a weekly event. Then whenever a negative vote is used the person might consider twice whether he wants to give that negative vote or not.

Eventually this might lead to a situation that nobody gives negative votes. There is no reason to wait for that event to happen though. It's possible to check the logs and ban all these idiots who have been giving negative votes right now.

OK. I will admit I have been giving lots of negative votes, but not for no reason, mainly because haters vote my posts down for no apparent reason and I think I know who they are.

I think a simple solution is just to limit the negative votes daily quota to 1. The limit that is already in place is too big (I think 10 votes or so). This means that a user can bring someone's rep down by -10 points in a single day. If there are 2 more haters then its -30. That's too much.

Or just disable the voting/rep functionality altogether.

I gave away a few negative votes to ppl that so whine about them. I've given a few positive votes to good posts also. It's a matter of self-balance.
POROV: I've given you a few negative votes in the past also because ironically, you seem to care about your reputation. I've given negative votes to your "haters" also. Not to all of them anyway. I just think your "war" should be removed from setti forums.

I think you guys are taking this too seriously, war or no war, after all this is a forum about a game and besides there are so few posts recently, I think it could be only good for the forum to have some more activity.

Anyway I usually never down vote anybody, I just started doing it a few days ago cause I got a little pissed, but I will stop again.

I often vote porov down, but the reason isnt that i "hate" him or those childish words used in this forum war. No, just his posts are often so pointless and annouying. That for are the negative votes i think, and many other regulars think so too.

Surely, due to process of elimination, there will come a time when there is noone online? Why not ban all the idiots that use the neg/get the neg a certain amount of times? 50-Warning, 75-Week ban, 150-Perma ban. Otherwise you'll end up banning everyone.

Lets ban people from driving on the roads. Every car owner will have to report mileage to government. And they will pick one "idiot". Its like banning players from game for using some particular weapon excessively. Voting button is for voting.
