Hay, and first of all: sorry for my bad english.

I have a CS 1.6 Server running on Linux.

1. Problem: I am behind a Router.
Solution: Ive forwarded the necessarry Ports.
Result: People can connect my server.

Setti accepts my Server and my Server is in Setti-list.
But now my current Problem:
My IP is changing every 24h so i would have to let Setti add my Sever all 24h. Thats not what i want.
Now i've configured my Router with an Dyndns.org account. And everything works fine.
And Setti accepts my Server with my Dyndns domain (lueserver.dyndns.org) and puts: Added to database oder something.

But now my question: will Setti updates the IP behind lueserver.dyndns.org when the IP changes?
When someone favouites my Server, will this favourite always have the right IP?

Thanks, trisse

Yes. However it might take some time for the dyndns pointer to point to right IP so it's not completely real-time update. Setti server scanner needs to check your new IP too which can take a few hours.

For example your server stats can be always found at: http://css.setti.inf...rver.dyndns.org

When someone favouites my Server, will this favourite always have the right IP?

The Favorites tab always uses the IP address. It cannot use dyndns address. People can't favorite your dyndns server.

:smile-thumbs-up: For coherent problem description and question.

Oh man, this is.. i dont know the english word for that

If the Router gets a new IP from my ISP, the dyndns-domain is up-todate in a few seconds - ive tested it.
...and Setti needs a couple of hours, okay - but it >will< update the real IP?
Have i understand it right?

Thanks so far!

Yes. The new IP will be detected automatically by Setti.
