Hello. I cracked my Steam and Download Counter Strike 1.6. I copied the master server file from the main page into the Steam config directory, replacing the original one. I started Counter Strike through cracked Steam, but it doesn't seem to find any servers. When I try to connect to specific servers from the list through the command console, they retry 3 times and disconnect, without connecting me. Please help, it seems I'm not connecting my Counter Strike through to the servers.
Thanx.
Cannot access Setti servers

When you see the list of servers you know that Setti server list is working. The servers on the list are not hosted by Setti, so it's not possible for us to affect whether you can join them or not.
Usually the error means that your firewall is blocking your connections to the servers. Make sure you have allowed access on your firewall or disable your firewall altogether when you play. Also make sure that your router doesn't have its own firewall.
Try connecting to more servers and see if it works. If it doesn't, then it's definitely your firewall blocking the connections.

Here's what I did. I installed the game through cracked Steam. Then I closed Steam. Copied the Masterserver.vdf into the Steam config directory, put it to read-only. I turned off my Windows Firewall, then opened up my Cracked Steam, and launched CS 1.6 through it. I opened up the server browser, and the it was automatically refreshing, the Internet tab. I waited for 5 minutes but no server showed up, then it said that the internet wasn't giving any servers etc. I manually tried to connect to some servers through the command console, and it said that the server was not responding.
What I think the problem here is, my internet isn't sending the request for Masterserver list to setti. I think there's some loopholes in my connection itself that needs to be tweaked. Now does anybody know what I can do. Because it sure ain't any problem with your servers since everyone is being able to connect.

Don't post such nonsense. You cannot define a hostname in MasterServers.vdf, an IP address is required. What you did was invalidate one of your masterservers.vdf's and by pure luck it started to work for you. Most likely you have duplicates of masterservers.vdf in your game directories which have the correct masterserver settings.

Serverlist is available at web too: http://css.setti.info/servers/. I can't help you with your problem other than what Ghost already posted.
