Has anyone tried Cities XL ( http://store.steampo....com/app/35510/ )? It seems to be like SimCity but much better. In the forums I've read that many don't like the game, but at least the screenshots and the gameplay video seems nice.

huge memory leak!!! once you go past the 145000 population mark it starts to lag and Focus aren't going to release a patch until November next year

Rather download the game for free, don't waste money on it cause it has some major bugs that need to be fixed

I downloaded Cities XL 2011 and sadly it gets laggy and doesn't run smoothly quite soon (20%+ map filled), the game chose the highest settings and reducing them didn't help much.
I presumed i needed a powerful PC to play it so I just uninstalled

I didn't even mean to buy it, I don't buy any game, so I wouldn't buy even this one.

It should be a multiplayer game. It wouldn't have to be too competitive or violent. It'd be nice to compare cities that others have built or build cities together and connect cities etc. I was -><- this close to buying it couple months ago when it was released but I thought it had multiplayer mode. Now I'm thinking of downloading it again (Fallout played through couple times  ).

I think the 2009 version was multiplayer right? I think they dropped it because of the expense.
