I think de_bahrain ( http://www.lanmaniax...ahrain2009.html ) could be good at Setti. Post your opinions here about the maps and we'll test them at Setti.

I can remember that we've tried the Boston map, so it's out of the game (I think). Also the Favela map seems to be too big for us.

Other than that I'd appreciate if people could try out the maps and tell which one looks nice.

de_bahrain looks a little big also. and it's got 3 bmbsites. imagine noobs' confusion. But at least it's a de_* map.

I think bahrain is looking bigger than it really is. We usually also have around 24 players, so there must be enough room for players to go around. Bigger is better

@ Ghost , de_bahrain is awsome. my vote is : YES

@ Neki , this map is not big at all ,I just dw it and played couple rounds with bots and alone

! I would say same size as de_dust2 ,plus it's much harder to spot an enemy , which is great! there is 3 bombsites ,but 2 of them r very close each other ,so basiclly u can say it's only 2. Also there's few good spots for AWP players , and of course it's a paradise for our PRO camper "SLO Mamut"

PS : n00bs r always confused ,it doesn't matter what map ,and how many bombsites it has :lol:

New maps always makes fun for me. I'd like to try some of them. A chance to vote for the new map is better than nothing. And we can remove the bad ones after testing anyway.

There was testing session at Bahrain today. It looked good at the first sight, but then it didn't look so CSSish anymore. It could be better map in some other game. It's playable, but I'm not sure if I'm happy to see it in the mapcycle.

, no large open spaces - heavenly map for spray masters

I played much on de_inferno pro. I can recommend it, because its making the basic inferno map perfect.

To admins: couldn't you make one of the four setti servers a "map test" server where you could run these maps in a totally different maplist from the main setti?

One idea would be:
Setti 1: geared towards regulars, standard maplist
Setti 2: geared towards noobs, standard maplist
Setti 3: geared towards noobs, maplist with stuff that most regulars hate but that nerds like me enjoy (cs_assault, anyone?

)
Setti 4: open to everyone, map test server with often-changing map list.
