Gungame Elimination is now running at ent.setti.info:27060. If there are some configuration options or things that could be better you can post suggestions here.

Many players didn't realize what the gungame or the elimination was all about. IMO it might be better if beter guns were easier to get.

Many players didn't realize what the gungame or the elimination was all about. IMO it might be better if beter guns were easier to get.


That has to do with the maps. GunGame is not for big maps with objectives like rescuing hostages. GG maps are made smaller then usual for a reason. It makes getting to the next gun much easier, and faster then if you were to try it on a map like cs_italy or de_dust2.

I suggest making it like a regular GG server.

1. Make weapons switch to the next as soon as you kill somebody.
2. Put some gg_ maps in as they help get the next guns faster then regular maps.
3. Put the knife in so when your in the middle of a fight and 2 people reload you dont have to wait it out. You dont even need to make knife steal a level, but leave it in there for ammo purposes.

If those things get done it will be a great server :D

The gg server was awesome i really liked this mod.agreed with What bboy said except the maps. with the gg maps is like playing in a fun server,it doesnt feel that you play cs anymore. with custom maps its like playing in a regular server with different rules which makes the game more interesting than the old gameplay.You still have the same missions bomb/hostages just the strategy differs.also assault was a good map for this server

3. There doesn't seem to be a configuration option for this

Ill suggest some good gg_ maps. I have played a lot of GG in my CS:S career and I'll look over the maps xD.

Edit: These 3 should defintley be added in my view.

I like the fact this map has 3 levels: Lower, Middle and Upstairs with diffrent palces to go. The textures are good. It has a little thing in spawn where if you can jump good then you can get to a good place for sniping/look out purposes.

No place is so hard that you cant kill someone and I think its very well designed.

2. http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/120081

Once again good textures, great work on the sky. Same as above with diffrent places to go and enough balance between things to hide behind and actuall firefights.

Only has 2 levels middle and upstairs but for what it tries to do ti does it well.

3. http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/38430

A simple yet effective fortress map. Both sides spawn on the side of fortresses. they can then go as a team towards 1 fortres sor jsut split up as they like. Invading a fortress is not hard at all as it is harder to shoot the people coming then you would think. Has a nice balance between defenders and attackers. Lots of things to hide behind and lots of diffrent ways to kill people and places to go, ranging from towers to plain old sneaking behind.

The 4th map i personally like but it depends what other people think.

Now for gungame this is considered a big map. The size of this is around the size of 2 regular gungame maps. It is big in size (30mb) and every single thing in this map has a HD modified texture. There are so many diffrent ways to approach the enemy that the variety alone makes it well worth it. It has Elevators to go upstairs which go up and down pretty slow, so you need to amke sure your lear before going anywhere. Very easy to be sneaky here for that final 1 vs 1 fight.

The 1 bad thing I would guess is some people will not like the whole "future" theme. I personally am fine with it looking like it does (Unique), but maybe people dont like that and if so Its understandable.

Tell me what you think of those maps and if you like them I'll look for more :D. If not tell me what kind of gg maps you have in mind and I'll try to find what best suits your requirments.

Also try to add this for the knife fix, this will also add armor on spawn

Edit: http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/37507 1 more map, this map is one of the most popular maps. Its almost on every GG server. Looks great and has great regular GG gameplay, not sure how it would fit in elimination though.

Well thats what all "gg" maps are like.

Although now that you enabled turbo it should be much more enjoyable so regular maps should be fine.

But the point of the gungame mod was always to be "1st person to go trough all guns wins the game". It was never meant to be big or objective based xD.

Me and Triptonite just experienced that :D there should be finish when u use all the guns and grenade :D Or maybe, to kill with a flashbang? idunno :)
