Hallo every one!

I have donwloaded the new CSS source orange Box non steam.....And it works very fine

I have pacthed it to v36, wich also works perfectlly.
When i want to pacht it to v37 and 38, the game stops to play.
When i try to run the game it says: "hl2.exe has stopped working"

I have tried to rebot the PC, and tried many times to reinstall the game. I have stopped my anti-virus program, and it still dosent want to work. I have delettet the gamestate.txt at cstrike folder and the stat.bin at Bin folder, and it still dosent work.

The game works very good with the pacht 36, but i cant join so many servers because of the new paches, The only thing is when i pacht to 37 and 38 the game just stops to work. Why?

Try this:
First -delete folder addons from cstrike
Second - open regedit go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and delete folder Valve .
Third - play the game.
Let me know if is working

Windows 7/Vista? Try right-click HL2.exe, Properties, Compatibility tab and check "run as an administrator". Give it a try and let me know if it works.

Third - play the game.

what the heck DELETE ALL REGISTRY ENTRIES FOR VALVE?!?! IT HAS ALL THE SETTINGS! AND I HAVE STEAM!

don't worry ,i have steam too ,i deleted valve folder and nothing bad is happened .you must set your video settings again ,just this.

Try this :
Download this reg file http://www.mediafire...0a6m9c4wg8y8hki ,double click to add to registry,click yes. Go to your Counter Strike Source 2010 folder ,right click ,Take ownership ,wait to aply to all files and after is done try to open game.

if you really want to play this game ,instal Windows 32 bit version. It's strange thing : for some users with x64 windows is working ,for some users is not working.

i have windows 32bit and its not working.
