Yes, patch must be extracted to that folder.Thank you for replying! Which folder exactly do I have to install it in? I have installed it in the Counter Strike Source 2010 folder (where there is HL2.exe, rev file, and shortcut creator)

Read FAQ in first post how to change name.hey, iv just downloaded the latest patch.v51 and installed it, and for some reason my name is set as "i_love_boobs" iv tryed changing it in the rev.file and the console but still no luck, any tips on what i can do to change it thanks

You extracted patch to wrong folder.Hello, today when I played CSS the servers were updated and I downloaded the update from here (in the CSS page), I ran the program into the CSS folder and did everything right (I think). But still when I try to join any Setti server (or any server at all) it says "this server is running a newer version of the game". What do I need to do? Please help

New Patch v51 is released
If you play on setti servers then patch game after servers will be updated.
Limit the effective FOV of players using wide-screen resolutions with aspect ratios wider than 1.85:1. The sv_restrict_aspect_ratio_fov ConVar can be changed to remove the restriction or make the restriction also apply to full-screen players.
Fixed a demo playback crash
Changed the way bot counts are displayed in the server browser: the bot column is now next to the player column and always visible. Bot count is no longer subtracted from maxplayers.
Adjusted error messages on servers when players drop due to Steam authentication failure to be more clear
Additional important server messages now go to the server log instead of just the console
Fixed the HUD radar not using the correct colors for players
Fixed the HUD radar background disappearing after level change
Fixed the class menu models not animating correctly
If you play on setti servers then patch game after servers will be updated.

Read FAQ, rev.ini must be saved in ansi.anyone how to write a cool name because if i write it in UTF-8 and save it it will said: This document has some UTF-8 stuff if you want to keep it save the document in UTD-8 but the problem is if i save it in UTF-8 and i go to find servers it will say Steam beta must be running. any solutions?

I need help! when i want to conect the server setti. In console show this :

whats wrong?
And i want contecting the servers, open chart and writed : do not responding..
I install game and opened it chart whith. Let public net contecting. i click yes.. but i can`t contecting to the servers.. :/

Disable Norton or uninstall.I try to download the update but Norton 360 says that it is risky and keeps deleting the file after my long-long-long download is finished. OMG screw norton. What should I do?

What happened to MasterServers.vdf ? I noticed the >platform>config folder didn't have a masterservers.vdf file. I copied the file in, and not surprisingly it didn't work, no server list.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Masterserver.vdf is not needed, it is used by crackedsteam or outdated CS:S v34. You can set Masterserver's IP in rev.ini.
