Hello everybody.

It's been a while since the last post in this thread. The forum was down for some period...

There was an update in CS:S recently so i worked on it. The forum was still down. So i posted the download links of the game and its new update patch, in the description of the featured video tutorial on YouTube. Now that forum is up again, i updated the main page of the thread. You will find the download link of the new v13 update patch there. I tested it myself before i upload it and it was working fine. I was able to join online servers. Let me know if you get any problem though. :)

I would suggest you all bookmark the featured video tutorial just in case forum goes down again. That way you will not have to wait till forum goes up in order to download.

Cheers,

Silent Sniper.

I googled it a bit and i saw others having the same issue in the past. They mentioned that it's a Windows 10 issue which will be fixed by some update for the OS. Does your friend keep the OS up-to-date?

Sorry for delay. Yes, he have activated Windows 10 and is updated.

Alright i want him try this now:

- Go to the root folder of the game.

- Locate the "rev.ini" file and open it with notepad.

- Find this line: ProcName=hl2.exe -game cstrike -steam -console -novid

- At the end of that line add a space and type: -window

> The line should now look like this: ProcName=hl2.exe -game cstrike -steam -console -novid -window

- Save the file, run the game and report here if it worked.

* If it worked try to change back to full screen from the game options and check if it will crash.

The bad part in all this is that we get no error at all. If there was some error it would help us. Hmm.. Tell him to try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Test it and then let me know if he had some progress.

He Downloaded CSS from here. "Counter.Strike.Source.SteamPipe.[Setti]". Yes, First the v8 and then, the v12. But if he install only the v8, the game dont open anymore. :/

That's weired. Did he download and install the game from us or did he mix a release of another community with our update patches? If he didn't mix anything, did he install the update patches in the correct order? First the v8 one and then the v12 one?
