You can't find nosteam release without revemu, there is few steam cracks but those are used individualy. VUP, that's for servers anyway!?

What are those steam cracks and how do they work with rev?

It's actually good that Valve is releasing new updates as it makes possible to include updates to client patches too - such as rev emu. I played CS:S for years with the same outdated version because there was nothing wrong with it. Updating rEV would have given me no useful benefits. Now with Orangebox updates old versions are incompatible and thus players are forced to update.

I thought that Vityan had some client patch too but apparently not.

Hmm... what does AllowUnknown=False then do if everyone has rEV anyway? It might not have any effect at all or then we are just banning potential players for no reason.

steam cracks are detected as Cracked Steam! (AllowCracked=False)

Unknown is some veryoldrev & unknown, what it does!? prevents access to possible cheaters with custom cracks?! You already are banning possible players for no reason by those ISP range bans or whole country bans.

Like you said "Players just want to play, not find cracks and whatnots all over the internet" so why you bother about those few who google for cracks for some "unknown" reason! Bother about those innocent in range ban . I think that is fair alternative for range bans.
