Some players might get for "Kicked due to inconsistent file xyz". SRCDS server allows clients older than the game server itself to join the server but files might be inconsistent between the client and the server. However it should be quite easy for players to update their games to newest version.

Send them some kinda of message like "update your game" or smb when they are kicked.

It's not possible because it's hard coded in the server. And it doesn't help much if you get message like "update your game" if you don't know where to start. They just go on to some other server. But that's OK.
