I want to create a server to play with my friends and want to be the admin. But how do I do it? Please!!!

You should then install Metamod 1.10 snapshot, the Metamod vdf file and Sourcemod 1.5 snapshot and configure them. Then you have your CSS server with admin tools. Now install revemu and you have your nonsteam css server with you being admin.

2nd way

 

If you have our CS:S Non-Steam release, copy the game folder ("Counter Strike Source 2010") and paste it somewhere else on your HDD with different name. For example rename it "SRCDS" or something like that. After that you don't have to follow the tutorial that headHUNTERZ posted. What you have to do is to make yourself admin. To do that, download and install the latest Metamod snapshot and the latest SourceMod snapshot. Then configure them. Done.

 

There is also the portforwarding issue. Don't worry. It's not as complicated as you think.

The files you have to configure are ".cfg" files. To configure them, you have to open them with notepad. Does your pc have notepad?

What I wanted to say that I installed mods (extract to cstrike folder), but I not have this cfg file with these commands to configure.

I know what they are ".cfg" files. And I have notepad on my pc

I can see nine ".cfg" files in your "cfg" folder.

Here is what you have to do, so to see which of those files are ".cfg" files.

 

1. Click the Start button , click Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization, and then click Folder Options.

 

2. Click the View tab and then, under Advanced settings, do one of the following:

 

To display file extensions, clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.

 

To hide file extensions, select the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.

 

Do you know which ".cfg" files you have to configure? There are more ".cfg" files in subfolders too. If not, report it here.  I hope i helped.

Need install HLDSUpdatetool?

This would not be the right way to install:

1. HLDSUpdatetool
2. Metamod 1.10 snapshot
3. Sourcemod 1.5 snapshot

Because I just installed Metamod and Sourcemod

You don't need the "HLDSUpdatetool" to configure the ".cfg" files. The "HLDSUpdatetool" is needed only to download and install the server, if you choose the 1st way. But if you chose the 2nd way, you don't need it.

Which file "cfg" I have to configure?
My cfg folder does not have the "srcds.txt" with those commands

Go here: "..Counter Strike Source 2010cstrikecfg" and configure the "server.cfg" file.

Then go here: "..Counter Strike Source 2010cstrikecfgsourcemod" and configure the "sourcemod.cfg" file.

Then go here: "..Counter Strike Source 2010cstrikeaddonssourcemodconfigs" and configure the following files:

"admin_groups.cfg" (optional)

"admins.cfg" (to configure this one, read the "admin_levels.cfg" first for some information)

 

For example at the end of the "admins.cfg" file you should type something like this:

"YOUR IN-GAME NAME HERE"

{

"auth" "steam"

"identity" "YOUR STEAM_ID HERE"

"flags" "z"

}

}

 

About the "flags" read the "admin_levels.cfg" for information.

No need to configure anything else, as this server will be on your pc for fun with your friends. No need to do anything more complicated.

If I put
abcdefghijklmn in "flags"

Anyone entering in my server can do any thing?

Example:
Will ban, kick and put cheats

 

In "auth" "steam" does not need to put non-steam? Because the game is no steam
