Hi, I have downloaded this version of CS:S and I have successfully installed it in some computers of my university. But, unfortunately, I can only play offline (with bots). I can't play online or in LAN.

It's strange because we have a portable version of CS 1.6 that you can use in LAN.

I'm not using an administrator account, but I used Kon-Boot to run the extractor and the rest of the installation process.

Any idea about this? Thank you!

I have a nonsteam server, and recently some nonsteam players with dynamic IPs have started hacking. I tried banning them but they just generate a new IP + ID and rejoin the server. Any ideas what can be done?

Yes, you need to ban on ip range. Let's say his ip is 12.34.56.78. When you ban, you ban 12.34.56.*

His ip changes, but it only changes the last 2 digits, and if you put a star there, last 2 digits will be banned. So it doesn't matter if he changes ip anymore. Of course, you may ban some innocent ones that are using same isp as the cheater, but hey, that's a small price to pay to ban some cheaters.
