soban wireless connections usually causes lags. It's always better to connect your pc with router via ethernet cable (wired connection).

Well, indeed Windows Vista is THE failure but no.

I found the problem. It's not a client side problem but a server side problem. It is caused by VALVe:

 

 

" - Updated voice to use the Steam voice codec to improve quality

Servers can toggle between the old codec and the new codec with the convar "sv_use_steam_voice", which defaults to 1."

 

I will set the convar to the old codec. I hope that fix this damn problem.

First of all, cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate will only fake his ping on scoreboard. His real ping will not change. And second the servers lock the cmdrate and updaterate at 66.

Then you have to contact with the owners and tell them to fix it.

Voice works properly there only if you have steam.

 

cl_cmdrate yes is a fake ping but server does not kick you

Can someone tell me how to get css to work properly? I really want to play, but when i try to connect to a server the "steam validation rejected" box pops up!

All of you guys that you have the "Steam validation rejected" error, are you running the game by double clicking the "revLoader.exe" file? If so, you should run the game via a desktop shortcut! Go to the game folder and run the "place_shortcut_on_desktop.exe" file. It will generate a shortcut on your desktop. Then run the shortcut as administrator!

Even though the version number of CS:S didn't change, Valve released some updates. You can find the download link on the first page. A changelog wasn't published by Valve.

if i use that command . is there any risk to get ban?? is it called cheating?
